“Monarch of the Meadow” 2006 National Wild Turkey Federation Stamp

Monarch of the Meadow

This 11" X 14" painting is one of Adam's newest pieces. In March 2005, it was selected for the National Wild Turkey Federation's 2006 national stamp. This is now Adam's second national stamp title.

Contrary to most of the paintings of turkeys that are currently on the market depicting a male turkey in full strut, Adam wanted to display the surreal beauty of the Eastern Wild Turkey in it's most natural form. The painting is titled "Monarch of the Meadow". Particular attention should be given to the incredible detail of each aspect from the dew drops to the feathers of the turkey. Adam's motivation for portraying such great detail in this painting stems from his own personal experiences with spring turkey hunting. The main goal here was to create an intimate moment between the viewer and this magnificent creature as if it were possible to walk up and establish eye contact without alerting him.
